Pruning can improve the health, safety and appearance or your trees.
TREE CLEANING
Cleaning consists of selective pruning to remove one or more of the following parts: dead, diseased, crossing, and/or broken branches. When examining a tree for cleaning, we will specify the location and size range of parts to be removed.
TREE THINNING
Thinning is selective pruning to reduce density of live branches. When examining a tree that will be thinned, we will specify location of parts to be removed, size range of parts to be removed, and percentage of foliage to be removed.
TREE RAISING
Raising is selective pruning to provide vertical clearance (over a sidewalk or building, for example).
When establishing specifications for raising, we will determine vertical clearance, location of parts to be removed, and size range of parts to be removed.
TREE REDUCING
Reducing is selective pruning to decrease height and/or spread. This can be to increase clearance from a building or roadway, or to maintain a smaller shape for a tree planted in a tight location. Consideration must be given to the ability of the tree to withstand this type of pruning. Before reducing, we will specify clearance, location of parts to be removed, and size range of parts to be removed. |
